Job Title: Apprentice Air Conditioning & Air Source Heat Pump Engineer

As an Apprentice Engineer, you’ll assist in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of air conditioning and air source heat pump systems in both residential and commercial settings. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll develop practical skills and technical knowledge while attending college or training provider sessions toward a recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities

·      Support installation, commissioning, and servicing of air conditioning and ASHP systems

·      Assist with system diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs

·      Learn to use HVAC tools and instruments safely and effectively

·      Help complete job sheets, system tests, and maintenance records

·      Follow health & safety procedures at all times

·      Attend off-site training and college learning blocks as part of your apprenticeship

·      Maintain a professional and helpful attitude with clients and colleagues

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Enthusiastic about engineering, HVAC, or renewable energy
  • Willing to learn and follow instructions
  • Strong practical skills and attention to detail
  • Punctual, dependable, and a good team player
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science
  • Eligible to enrol on a Level 2 or 3 apprenticeship in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • Able to travel to job sites around Swansea and surrounding areas

Desirable:

  • Some experience in a construction or engineering environment
  • Interest in sustainable and low-carbon technologies
  • UK driving licence or working towards obtaining one
